17 Ways to write great headlines, even if you’re not a professional copywriter

 
Great headlines do two things
They grab attention and they generate action. That action might simply be to read the rest of the post, or it could be to download something, buy a product for which you’re an affiliate, Like you on Facebook, or any number of things. The action is unlikely to be only on account of the headline, but the headline should certainly give the reader an idea of what’s in the article or e-mail below it and it should entice the reader to spend a little time
